What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pump Shop Supervisor position at Countrymark Refining and Logistics?
Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating, assigning, and supervising activities involved in inspection, preventive maintenance, and regular and emergency repair of mechanical and electrical equipment necessary to pump, regulate, measure and assure the proper operation of the pump and compressor stations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
* Plan, assign, direct, and review the work of unit employees engaged in pump maintenance and repair projects.
* Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training for assigned personnel.
* Supervise the inspection of all unit pump and compressor operations to determine necessary repairs and/or replacements needed to maintain proper functioning of equipment.
* Maintain records of pump maintenance operations and prepares reports to satisfy requirements established by State Department of Health and the Department.
* Supervise the more difficult and complex repair work on pumps, motors, pressure reducing valves, electric starters, controls, timers, sensors, a variety of valves, alternators and compressors.
* Supervise final acceptance tests on all new equipment assigned to section.
* Prepare reports and forecasts, job manpower forecasts, and expenditure forecasts.
* Coordinate activities with other construction disciplines and client representatives as necessary.
* Advise and recommend to Refinery Maintenance Manager the procedures required to correct difficult emergency situations.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
* Arrange for normal replacement of equipment involving moderate expenditure and make recommendations to Refinery Maintenance Manager concerning major purchases of complex and/or expensive equipment.
* Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables.
* Review prints and specification on new installations and facilities under construction to ensure proper and efficient operation of pumping equipment on completion.
* Ensure the most current design documents are utilized for all installations.
Job Qualifications (refers to job, not incumbent):
Education: Minimum: High School Diploma required.
Experience: Minimum: 5-7 years of experience in refinery maintenance operations or
related field.
Preferred: Previous experience with operational reporting, diagnostics, troubleshooting and production optimization.
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Employee must have valid driver s license if operating a company vehicle or their own vehicle for work purposes. Employee must also have the appropriate CDL classification/endorsements required for their specific position.
Other:
* Solid knowledge of refinery operations.
* Extensive knowledge of pumps, compressors, separation systems, control systems, chemical systems.
