Great entry level position for someone looking to start a career in equipment mechanics. This job is located in East Greenbush, NY. Daily responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
Job Duties:
•Explain proper operation and safety features of equipment to the renter and user
•Analyze the condition of the equipment for safety and operational purposes
•Clean equipment before it goes into the shop, after it comes back from rental, and while it is in the yard
•Assist in loading and unloading of equipment
•Keep the equipment yard organized
•Perform general maintenance of the equipment yard (i.e., snow removal)
•Perform other duties as requested
•Uphold company safety standards and ensure appropriate procedures are followed
-Maintaining shop and yard cleanliness.
Requirements:
-Drivers License
-Must have means to get to and from work on time every day
-Must work at least one weekend day
-Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs
-Must know how to use a grease gun and general mechanic abilities
-Must be able and willing to take instruction from shop manager
-Must have general knowledge of rental and construction equipment
-Positive attitude and politeness is a must as you will deal with customers daily.
Preferences:
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
-Able to operate fork lift
-General Equipment Knowledge
