Job Title: Store Receiver
The Store Receiver plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our stores by maintaining accurate inventory levels. This involves planning, organizing, and monitoring the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safe, accurate, and efficient receiving and stocking of inbound freight
- Determining items to be moved, gathered, or distributed based on production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions
- Loading and unloading trucks with heavy, irregular-shaped merchandise
- Maintaining a safe working environment while moving and unloading merchandise
- Accurately receiving and pricing various merchandise
- Maintaining a complete understanding of the check-in process to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Carrying materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
- Keeeping the receiving area organized and clean
- Operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and miscellaneous carts in a safe manner
- Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined classification
- Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributing items to production workers
- Assembling customer orders from stock and placing orders on pallets or shelves; conveying orders to packing station or shipping department
- Marks materials with identifying information
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within the store to ensure conformance to company standards
- Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
- Uses a computer to enter records
- Maintains inventory records
- Assists in the training of backup receiver
- Complies with all Country-Supplier's policies and procedures regarding receiving
Requirements:
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing
- Working knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
