The Country Store is the retail division of Skagit Farmers Supply, a diversified, local agricultural cooperative rooted in the Pacific Northwest. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Greet and assist customers by loading and unloading merchandise.
  • Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse.
  • Assemble products and displays.
  • Regularly operate a vehicle to make deliveries, visit various worksites, other businesses or customer locations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities.
  • Dispense propane and kerosene.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service.
  • Practice safe operations and provide a clean work environment.
  • Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
  • Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license to operate a commercial motor vehicle (10,001 lbs. GVWR). Maintain a safe and insurable driving record.
  • Be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, stoop and kneel frequently; lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proven track record of being dependable and reliable.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails.

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies.
  • Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position (schedule will vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$17.50 - $21.00/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
