Kitchen Production Planner/Leader

Our typical work day is 8am-4 or 5pm. We rotate weekends during off seasons, and offer an increase wage by $2/hr on all weekends and Holidays.
Country Smoke House is in search of a driven individual who is skilled, dedicated, organized and passionate. Our catering department offers a wide variety of opportunities for creativity from our in store offerings to our roadside BBQ and occasional special events. Country Smoke House has many different avenues our catering department feeds; pick up catering, in store sales (ready to eat meals, salads, desserts, etc), our famous Roadside BBQ, occasional special events at the store, occasional offsite events and more! We are looking for someone who can set up production, stay organized, give direction and lead a team of 3-8. You will be assisting our Chef with a variety of day to day operations and helping train and lead the team daily.
Your Role:
- Responsible to develop and execute daily & weekly production schedules efficiently and assuring quality and cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Assessing store inventories and catering needs daily/weekly, in order to plan production needs for the team to execute.
- Ensure proper rotation of food products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Maybe asked to participate in ordering kitchen needs.
- Lead and maintain a productive and efficient pace to keep up with the demands of a busy kitchen.
- Occasionally assist with off-site catering events, keeping the team proficient and on schedule.
- Contribute to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Willingness to obtain Serve Safe certification and uphold food safety standards.
- Exercise conscientiousness regarding product and food waste to minimize costs.

Experience and License Requirements
- Culinary Arts degree is a bonus (optional)
- Kitchen line cook or sous chef 5 years
- Valid Driver's License
