General Summary
Employee is expected to handle daily operations of the Stihl department, duties to include but not limited to technical repairs, sales, ordering, inventory control, and merchandising.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Customer Service:

• Provide a positive representation of Country Oaks
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service

Department Operations

• Create a positive, professional and safe work environment.
• Receive, check-in and stock merchandise.
• Maintain back stock levels.
• Ensure daily maintenance and cleanliness of the sales floor, warehouse and outdoor merchandise area.
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store, as needed.
• Ensure signage is current throughout department.
• Operate forklift with proper training.
• Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales ideas to General Manager.
• Participate in store meetings.
• Be professional in appearance and actions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Stihl Technician Responsibilities

• Completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, belts and outdoor power equipment
• Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
• Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule
• Cleans all areas within in shop and supplies well organized
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures
• Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Work towards a Stihl Gold Certification and encourage others in the department to advance their knowledge

Education/Training
High School or GED equivalent.

Experience/Qualifications

• Self-Motivated
• Time Management
• Reading Comprehension
• Basic Equipment Maintenance and Repair
• Familiarity with a wide range of mechanical skills is preferred including electrical, welding, etc
• Ability to bend and lift in excess of 50 pounds
• Mechanical: 3 years (Preferred)
• STIHL product repair: 1 year (Preferred)

Physical Demands
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 70lbs) and climbing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
