What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Customer Service/Food Service position at Country Mart- 3 Ayden?
We are hiring for our new store in Ayden, NC
- Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and ensure a positive shopping experience to promote return visits.
- Cash Handling: Process cash, credit, and EBT transactions accurately using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system, and balance the register at the end of a shift.
- Stock & Merchandising: Restock shelves, coolers, and displays. Check for expired products and ensure items are properly front-faced.
- Store Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless store, including sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning fuel pumps, and sanitizing restrooms.
- Food & Beverage Prep: Prepare simple hot/cold food items, brew coffee, and ensure food safety compliance.
- Security & Compliance: Verify age for restricted items (tobacco, alcohol, lottery) and adhere strictly to safety and robbery prevention protocols.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts (often 8 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varied hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
