Country Lane Pet Hotel is seeking an experienced and dependable full-time pet groomer to join our team. Our long-time groomer is relocating out of state after many successful years with us, creating an opportunity for a groomer to step into an established and loyal client base.
We are looking for someone passionate about animal care, motivated to build relationships with clients, and able to work independently in a fast-paced grooming environment.
Compensation
- Commission-based position (50% commission)
- Potential to earn $40,000 annually
- Groomers keep 100% of their tips
- Increased earning potential based on productivity and client retention
Schedule & Availability
- Full-time position
- Weekend availability required
- Groomers typically begin between 8:30 AM–9:30 AM
- Optional early start time available beginning at 7:30 AM
- Daily end times vary depending on grooming speed, efficiency, and schedule volume
- All groomed dogs must be completed and picked up by 6 PM
- No holiday work required unless desired by the employee
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional grooming experience preferred
- Ability to complete full grooms independently from start to finish
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, and styling dogs
- Nail trimming and ear cleaning
- Monitoring pets for safety, comfort, and overall well-being during grooming
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of grooming areas
- Managing grooming workflow efficiently throughout the day
Please note: We do not currently employ bathers. Groomers are responsible for completing all bathing and grooming services for their assigned dogs.

Country Lane Pet Hotel supplies:
- Grooming tubs
- Dryers
- Grooming tables
- Clipper vacuum/service systems
- Shampoos and conditioners
- Nail clippers and Dremels
We also offer a selection of company clippers, blades, and shears. Groomers are encouraged to use their own preferred tools if desired.
Additionally, the company covers:
- Tool sharpening
- Tool repair costs
Support Staff & Workflow
Our front desk and hotel staff handle:
- Appointment scheduling
- Client communication
- Check-in and check-out processes
- Calling owners when pets are ready for pickup
This allows groomers to focus entirely on grooming and pet care throughout the day.
