Activities Assistant
Location: Country Lane Manor | Keosauqua, IA
Country Lane Manor is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to support our Activities Department and enrich the emotional, social, and recreational well-being of our residents. This role works closely with the Director of Activities to provide engaging, resident-centered programming that enhances overall quality of life.
Position Details
Status: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $14.00–$14.50 per hour
Schedule: Flexible hours, typically 1:00 PM–5:30 PM or 1:00 PM–7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Support residents' emotional, recreational, and social needs on an individual basis
Assist residents with personal tasks such as writing letters, making phone calls, and registering to vote
Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and progress
Assist with mail delivery, escorting residents to activities, pet and plant care, newsletters, fundraising initiatives, and facility announcements
Facilitate creative and recreational programs including crafts, painting, and group activities
Help implement activities that promote entertainment, communication, relaxation, and creative expression while supporting residents' social, psychological, and spiritual well-being
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior experience working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred
Long-term care experience is a plus
Must be at least 18 years of age
