What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Assistant position at Country Lane Kennel?
A day in the life of a Kennel Assistant:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kennel, including kennel area, runs, office space, and outside grounds.
- Work independently.
- Feed and water dogs.
- Monitor and record important information about the animals.
- Let dogs out in groups.
- Maintain laundry throughout the day and keep laundry area neat.
- Bathe and blow dry dogs.
- Check in and out clients
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
- Flexible schedule including weekend/holiday shifts. (WEEKENDS are required)
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must have strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations.
- Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
