Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a lively and professional attitude, making them feel immediately welcomed
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and minimize wait times while accommodating special requests
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times, menu highlights, and restaurant policies via phone or in person
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization at the host stand and waiting areas
- Support team members by providing guest information and addressing inquiries promptly and courteously
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
Skills
- Prior experience as a Host or Hostess in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest relations
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interactions
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and hospitality standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience working in hotel or guest services environments is a plus
