Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and perform floor care to maintain pristine surfaces
- Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies with proper safety procedures
- Restock amenities and supplies in guest rooms to ensure complete guest satisfaction
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, including sanitation checks and maintenance requests
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with strong attention to detail
- Skilled in floor cleaning, floor care, vacuuming, and industrial cleaning techniques
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling, chemical handling safety protocols, and proper use of cleaning equipment
- Excellent customer service skills to address guest needs politely and efficiently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and custodial experience is a plus
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures a secure environment for guests and staff
