Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming trees, planting flowers, and managing garden beds.
- Identify plants and trees to ensure proper care; apply horticultural practices to promote healthy growth.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use and proper coverage across landscaped areas.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other machinery safely and effectively for construction or landscaping projects.
- Execute snow plowing and de-icing during winter months to maintain safe pathways and parking areas.
- Assist with hardscape projects including paving, fencing, or installing outdoor features as needed.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in maintaining various building systems and equipment.
- Strong landscape maintenance skills including lawn care, tree trimming, planting, and gardening.
- Ability to identify different plant species and understand basic horticultural principles.
- Knowledge of pesticide management for pest control and plant health maintenance.
- Experience operating irrigation systems, power tools, hand tools, excavators, and other construction equipment.
- Prior experience in landscaping or construction is highly desirable.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions; physically capable of lifting heavy objects and performing manual labor.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
