In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in a supportive environment. Duties

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and independence.
  • Monitor residents’ vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, documenting changes accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care, employing behavior management techniques to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration meticulously.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
  • Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance emotional well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties within resident rooms and common areas.
  • Support residents during outings or community activities by providing transportation if qualified to drive.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans that meet each resident’s unique needs.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred but not necessary.
  • Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or EMR systems are a plus. Will provide medication training.
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively with seniors and individuals with complex health needs in a caring, respectful manner.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, and families.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred for roles involving transportation duties.
  • Physical ability to assist with lifting residents using proper techniques or assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through compassionate caregiving!

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Overnight Shift (Preferred)
