Summary:
The primary goal of the Food & Beverage Director is to ensure that every member and guest of the Country Club of Terre Haute receives distinctive and exceptional food and beverage service. This individual leads and develops the team of service and culinary personnel, working closely with the General Manager to implement policies and procedures that achieve the goals of the Board of Directors and supervising committees. The Food & Beverage Director will foster and demonstrate an excellent sense of teamwork throughout the Club, including collaboration with other departments such as Golf, Grounds, and Administration. This individual will develop, implement, and verify standards of operation in accordance with the highest ethical and professional benchmarks designed to provide superlative service and achieve financial goals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the dining room, bar, and banquet service.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise front-of-house staff to ensure excellent service standards.
- Partner with the Executive Chef to provide smooth and coordinated food and beverage experiences.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor, engaging with members and assisting staff during service.
- Ensure all dining and event spaces are clean, properly set, and welcoming.
- Manage staff performance, resolve issues, and foster a positive team environment.
- Monitor inventory, purchasing, and cost controls related to beverages and service supplies.
- Maintain accountability for restaurant and bar P&L performance, including budgeting, expense management, and financial reporting.
- Support the planning and execution of member events, private parties, and special functions.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in a club, resort, or fine dining environment.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L oversight.
- Excellent communication and team-building abilities.
- Ability to lead by example and maintain a high level of visibility on the floor.
- Solid understanding of service standards, staffing, and day-to-day operations.
- Professional appearance, member-first mindset, and attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
