What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grill Line Cook / Rôtisseur position at Country Club of New Canaan?
Responsibilities include:
- Cut and prepare meat, poultry, and seafood as needed;
- Prepare side dishes, sauces, vegetables, and grains;
- Label, date, and rotate food items to meet health and safety standards;
- Cook food to order and work with the kitchen team to ensure meals are ready together;
- Help with other kitchen duties as needed.
Candidate must be able to:
- Cook steaks and other proteins to the member/guest's requested temperature;
- Work efficiently to keep orders moving during busy service;
- Keep your station stocked and ready throughout your shift;
- Stay organized and work well in a fast-paced kitchen.
Previous experience cooking proteins in an a la carte establishment is required.
Schedule & Benefits:
- Hours are typically 2PM to closing (approximately 10:30PM), 5 days a week (6 during busy season / as needed);
- One meal is provided per shift alongside a 30-minute break;
