What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drop-In Child Care Lead position at COUNTRY CLUB OF LANDFALL?
Country Club of Landfall is seeking a Childcare Lead Associate for their Drop-In Program. The childcare program is open Monday-Friday 8:00-12:00. The required shifts are Monday - Friday 7:45a.m-12:15p.m. Potential additional shifts may include evening and weekend Kids Club events. Our drop-in childcare program serves children ages 3 months and up.
Position Description summary:
Plan, implement, promote and manage the Kids club Drop-in program along with other children’s activities and events at CCL.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for babies and young children. (Ages 3 months and older)
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Greet families and children upon arrival.
- Ensure changing needs are met and assist as needed with toileting.
- Offer and assist daily with snacks.
- Offer and encourage developmentally appropriate play activities and interact with the children.
- Encourage children in learning positive behaviors and providing guidance as needed.
- Clean interactive areas to ensure the space is safe for all age groups.
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring children for health, behavioral and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents.
- Leads children in exercises, on-ground field trips and other activities approved by the Children’s Activities Coordinator or Director.
- Keep records related to childcare such as the daily attendance report.
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Children’s Activities Coordinator or Director.

Qualifications:
- Highschool graduate or equivalent and are at least 18 years of age by your first day of work.
- Prior experience working with children of 3 months and older.
- Patience, reliability, and genuine love for children.
- Enjoys engaging with and being in the company of children.
- Attentiveness to the needs and safety of children.
- Participate and lead high energy physical activities with multiple children at once.
- Stamina to lift and carry children.
- Are kind, curious, and confident with a “can-do” attitude and are able and willing to accept and effectively act on feedback and guidance
- CPR/first aid certified or willingness to obtain.
