As a Food Runner / Busser at Plaza Provisions, you play a key role in delivering a seamless guest experience. You’ll ensure food is delivered quickly and accurately, maintain clean and organized tables, and support the service team in keeping the dining room running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone with a strong work ethic, great attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Location: Plaza Provisions – Country Club Plaza, Kansas City, MO
Reports to: Director of Outlets
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and with a friendly demeanor.
- Ensure all plates are presented to guests as intended by the chef and vendor kitchens.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and the dining area.
- Assist servers by refilling water, clearing empty plates and glassware, and resetting tables promptly.
- Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to keep service running efficiently.
- Restock service stations with silverware, glassware, and other supplies.
- Uphold Plaza Provisions’ hospitality standards and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Compensation:
- $16/hour plus tip-out
