Dog Boarding Camp Counselor – Camp Lucky Dog (LaGrangeville, NY)
Spend your days surrounded by happy dogs!
Camp Lucky Dog is an established, family-run boarding and grooming facility that’s been caring for the Hudson Valley’s pups for nearly 50 years. Our team takes pride in providing a clean, safe, and fun “home away from home” for every guest. We’re looking for an energetic and dependable **Dog Boarding Camp Counselor** to join our pack and help care for our canine campers.
What You’ll Do
· Care for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities — from shy pups to social butterflies.
· Feed, walk, and give medications as needed (training provided).
· Clean and sanitize kennels and play areas — we take pride in our spotless facility.
· Supervise playtime in our indoor and outdoor pens and help match dogs safely by temperament.
· Greet owners at drop-off and pick-up with a friendly, professional attitude.
· Communicate clearly with team members to ensure every camper gets the best care possible.
Schedule & Hours
· Typical shifts are 7:00 AM – 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with a nice midday break to relax or run errands.
· Part-time and full-time positions available, though we’re especially looking for help Tuesdays through Thursdays.
· Must be available some weekends and holidays, since the dogs need love year-round.
What Makes This a Great Job
· You’ll spend your days surrounded by dogs — playing, walking, and caring for them.
· Enjoy **free boarding for your own dog** when you travel.
· Opportunity to grow into grooming or management roles (or should we say *paws-abilities* ).
· Supportive, long-term team that loves what we do and treats every dog like family.
· Break between shifts gives you time for school, another job, or personal time.
Who We’re Looking For
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
· Comfortable with all sizes and breeds of dogs.
· Detail-oriented and committed to cleanliness and safety.
· Friendly and kind — both with people and pups.
· Must have your own reliable transportation and live within ~30 minutes of LaGrangeville.
· Prior experience in pet care is a plus but not required — we’re happy to train the right dog-lover!
