This position is important to our residents to help them keep doctor's appointments and attend events and activities.
Shift Details:
We are currently searching for a Driver to assist with the following shift: (minimum of 1 weekend and 2 shifts per month). Please note, this may change throughout employment as needed with notice.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the company vehicles to take residents to and from appointments and activities.
- Assist residents with boarding the vehicle safely and offloading and getting to their destination safely.
- Do safety checks before operating vehicle and operate safely and in accordance with laws.
- Empty trash in some assigned areas daily.
- Do light maintain work when not busy driving.
- May need to make part pickups for maintenance.
- Employee may lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Regular and predictable attendance daily.
Qualifications, skills, and abilities:
- Be able to safely operate a 14 passenger vehicle
- Must have a valid MA driver's license
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and a DOT drug test
- Have 10 years or more experience driving and a clean driving record
- Communicate in English clearly and courteously with our residents and fellow staff
- Be able to safely assist residents in boarding and exiting vehicle
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Be able to assist with light maintenance duties at community when not driving
