Sales Consultant

Country Casual Teak, the nation’s leading manufacturer of premium teak outdoor furniture, is looking for a new Sales Consultant to join our team. This person will guide customers through the furniture selection and ordering process, provide expert product knowledge, and ensure a seamless sales experience from start to finish.

This position is located on site at our Gaithersburg, MD office.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, professional, and consultative experience for every customer, whether by phone, email, chat, or in-person at our Gaithersburg showroom
• Provide expert product knowledge and design guidance to help customers select the right furniture and accessories for their needs
• Respond promptly to inquiries, check inventory and pricing, prepare quotes, and communicate clearly about backorders or delivery timelines
• Accurately enter customer orders, follow up on leads and quotes, and conduct post-sale satisfaction calls to ensure excellent service
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations to provide timely and accurate order, shipping, and delivery information
• Consistently meet or exceed performance benchmarks for sales activity, service quality, and productivity
• Serve as back-up to the customer service, stepping in as needed to maintain seamless customer service coverage
• Participate in special projects and other assigned tasks as needed

Qualifications

• 1 years of experience in sales, customer service, or account support (furniture, design, or retail experience a plus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term client relationships
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to convey information in a clear and professional manner
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple opportunities, quotes, and orders simultaneously
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel; familiarity with CRM or order management systems is a plus
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and customer satisfaction
