Job Summary
We are seeking a person as a body work helper. Person should know about sanding, priming and painting. We work mainly on Mack trucks. Diesel parts and some mechanic experience also helpful.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paints using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools
- Use buffing machines and polishing compounds to achieve smooth, glossy finishes on painted surfaces
- Perform auto body repairs such as filling dents, straightening panels, and welding as needed before painting
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and calibrated
- Conduct quality inspections of painted vehicles to identify imperfections or inconsistencies and correct them promptly
- Assist with auto glass installation and detailing tasks to ensure comprehensive vehicle restoration
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of paints, solvents, and power tools
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto repair equipment
- Skilled in auto body repair techniques including welding, dent removal, and panel straightening
- Experience with auto painting techniques such as airless spray painting and buffing for high-quality finishes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair or prep work
Pay: From $12.50 per hour
