What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wealth Management Advisor position at Counterweight Private Wealth?
About Counterweight Private Wealth
Counterweight Private Wealth is a fee-only fiduciary specializing in retirement planning, tax planning, and wealth management for high-net-worth individuals and families. We are based out of Raleigh, NC, with clients throughout the US.
As an independent boutique firm, we provide a high-end, personalized advisory experience to successful late-career professionals, executives, and business owners – guiding them through life’s most significant financial transitions.
The Role
As a boutique firm, we intentionally maintain a select number of high-end households so that we can provide a deep and robust wealth management and tax planning experience. Our firm continues to grow, and we consistently turn down prospective clients who fall below our current AUM minimum of $2MM. As a result, we have decided to hire a talented and experienced advisor to launch a new service tier, and therefore serve clients with investable assets ranging from $750K to $1.5MM.
As a Wealth Advisor at Counterweight, you will manage the entire client relationship from discovery through ongoing planning. Following our proven process, you will deliver sophisticated financial and wealth planning advice while building lasting trust. You will work closely with our operations and executive team to ensure every client receives a seamlessly integrated experience. This is an opportunity to do meaningful, high-impact work within a collaborative and values-driven firm.

- Highly organized and process-oriented; you close the loop and finish what you start
- Comfortable operating independently in a remote environment while remaining a committed team contributor
- Genuinely curious, coachable, and committed to your own professional development
