Location: Santa Monica, CA -- Hybrid Office Schedule (3x in office)

In this role you will:


Quality Assurance


  • Define, create and implement a robust Quality Management System and champion an environment of continuous process improvement.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and Company Policies & Procedures
  • Evaluate and approve new identified suppliers through the Supplier Qualification/Approval process.
  • Ensure Quality Technical Agreements are negotiated and in place with all manufacturing suppliers.
  • Ensure process is maintained for control of documents. Develop and maintain company change control system.
  • Provide support and participate in resolving customer inquiry/complaint.
  • Ensure adequate receipt of response for observations, deviations and non-conformances, including investigations, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) plans, and perform effectiveness checks and closure.
  • Review and approve stability and other testing data including initial testing plans.


Quality Control


  • Establish and develop quality control processes, protocols, and documentation standards.
  • Ensure that products meet the company’s standards and specifications.
  • Review quality control test results, documenting and distributing interpretation, and feedback to relevant parties. Perform release of bulk and packaged products.
  • Manage and track various quality testing.


Department Leadership


  • Implement and improve quality systems and processes.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Quality Department.
  • Report on key quality metrics to leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


EXPERIENCE:


  • A minimum of five 5-8 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Control in a federally regulated field.
  • Scientific or technical discipline to perform data collection, extraction and analysis is a MUST.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and industry quality sampling plans and quality standard thresholds (AQLs) is a MUST.


EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related science)


SKILLS:


Proficient in digital quality tracking and reporting tools, including Microsoft office suite (including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).

  • Ability to work to deadlines, set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.

Must take directions well and pay attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with various departments within the company.
  • Comfortable in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Ability to travel as required for quality-related activities.
