Duties

• Monitor access points to control entry and exit of all personnel, visitors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance systems to identify and address potential security concerns promptly.
• Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or medical personnel as needed to ensure safety.
• Perform detailed inspections of individuals and packages to prevent theft, unauthorized access, or other security breaches.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage for reporting and record-keeping purposes.
• Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally.
• Assist with basic first aid or CPR in emergency situations until medical professionals arrive.

Requirements

• Valid DCJS certification as an Unarmed Security Officer is mandatory.
• Proven experience in law enforcement, security operations, or military service is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to perform surveillance duties effectively using CCTV cameras and other monitoring tools.
