About CITCA
Counselors in the Community Association (CITCA) is a community-based organization focused on strengthening mental health, workforce readiness, and civic engagement for underserved populations. CITCA serves at-risk, justice-involved, and neurodivergent youth and young adults through Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Rehabilitation, workforce development, and applied learning initiatives.
CITCA is in a growth phase and is building the systems needed to sustain and scale its impact.
Position Overview
CITCA is seeking a Grants and Procurement VISTA Associate to build organizational capacity in funding readiness, procurement systems, and program infrastructure. This is a skills-based role designed to strengthen internal systems that allow CITCA to pursue grants, public contracts, and partnerships, ultimately expanding access to education, workforce development, and social-emotional support for individuals impacted by poverty.
This is a capacity-building role; the VISTA will not provide direct service delivery.
VISTA Objectives
The Grants and Procurement VISTA Associate will help CITCA:

Reduce long-term organizational strain and reliance on informal processes
Key Responsibilities
Grants & Procurement Capacity-Building
*
Research grant, contract, and procurement opportunities aligned with CITCA’s mission
*
Track funding calendars and procurement timelines
*
Prepare procurement readiness materials (e.g., capability statements, compliance checklists)
*
Support organizational registration and documentation for public funding systems
Program & Organizational Infrastructure
*
Organize and document CITCA’s program models and services
*
Support development of program briefs, logic models, and scopes of work
*
Standardize internal processes and workflows related to funding and partnerships
Partnership & Systems Support
*
Map and document current and potential partners
*
Support development of partnership outreach materials
*
Track partnership documentation and agreements
Data & Learning Support
*
Assist with basic data collection and outcome tracking systems
*
Support internal reporting and documentation for funders and partners
Impact
The work of the VISTA Associate will help CITCA expand sustainable funding pathways, strengthen organizational infrastructure, and increase long-term capacity to serve individuals facing barriers related to poverty, mental health challenges, and limited access to workforce opportunities.

Supervision
The VISTA Associate will receive regular supervision, training, and support from CITCA leadership to ensure alignment with AmeriCorps policies and professional growth.
Monthly Living Allowance:
This position provides a monthly living allowance ranging from $1,500–$1,900, in accordance with AmeriCorps VISTA guidelines.
