Position Overview

We are seeking a Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about helping others improve their mental and emotional well-being. This position is ideal for a licensed or license-eligible clinician who is eager to broaden their experience in outpatient mental health counseling.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

The qualified applicant will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide outpatient mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families
  • Provide therapeutic services to support the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with substance abuse disorders through Drug Court program
  • Conduct mental health assessments and contribute to treatment planning
  • Participate in interdisciplinary consultation and team collaboration
  • Develop areas of clinical interest and pursue specialized training
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with community partners and area providers
  • Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with mental health performance standards


Education Requirements & Preferred Experience

Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Licensed or license-eligible and actively working toward licensure

Preferred:

  • Experience in outpatient or community-based mental health settings
  • Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan


Desired Skills, Qualifications & Certifications

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of mental health performance standards
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment models
  • Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills

Soft Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Empathy, professionalism, and a client-centered approach
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Commitment to ethical practice, accountability, and continuous professional growth

Licensure:

  • Licensed or license-eligible (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)

  • 8-hour shifts
