Qualifications:
Compensation: $22-25/hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Rate increase potential for bilingual (Spanish/English) and Certified AOD Counselors.
Location: Downtown Santa Barbara
Additional Requirements: In compliance with the California Department of Health Care Services, staff must maintain an up-to-date Tuberculosis test during employment.

Qualifications:
- Willingness and ability to work with individuals with substance use disorders in a social-model residential detoxification setting.
- Registered with or eligible for registration as an SUD Counselor in California, or certified as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (SUDCC)
- Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation and professional reports.
- Effective verbal communication skills with clients, families, and members of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Knowledge of confidentiality laws and ethical standards, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
- Commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
- Ability to drive company vehicle preferred.
- Ensure secure storage of client medications in accordance with agency policy and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and document client self-administration of prescribed medications in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Assist clients with Medi-Cal eligibility, identification, and related documentation requirements.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups as assigned.
- Supervise and support clients within the facility and during approved off-site activities, including 12-step meetings and other recovery-oriented activities.
- Complete and maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policy and funding requirements.
- Prepare and submit required reports to the agency and funding sources within established timelines.
- Provide information, referral, and linkage to community resources based on client needs.
- Maintain current knowledge of community alcohol and drug treatment resources.
- Participate in treatment planning, care coordination, and clinical supervision as required.
- Attend agency and program meetings.
- Maintain professional boundaries and represent the agency in a professional manner at all times.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized program environment.
