Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and modifications
- Perform welding tasks when necessary to secure pipe connections or repair damaged components
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation or repairs on construction sites
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations during project execution
- Assist with remodeling projects by assembling fixtures, fitting pipes, and ensuring proper system integration
- Support HVAC system installation and maintenance as needed, applying mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal performance
- Operate construction site vehicles for material transport while adhering to commercial driving safety standards
- Follow schematics and technical instructions precisely to ensure compliance with safety codes and project specifications
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for project documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related fields such as carpentry or handyman work on construction sites
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding apparatus with precision
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, schematics, blueprints reading, and mechanical principles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety protocols
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and remodeling processes is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and estimations necessary for accurate work execution
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred but not required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site
