Drug Testing & Client Services SpecialistFounding Team Opportunity
Coulee Screen Co.
La Crosse / Onalaska Area, Wisconsin
Full-Time | In-Person
Help Build a New Local Company From the Ground Up
Coulee Screen Co. is a new, professionally established workforce screening and employer-support company with a dedicated brick-and-mortar location serving the Coulee Region.
We are a real operating business with a physical facility, professional equipment, established service offerings, laboratory and industry partnerships, and a clear plan for growth.
Now, we are looking for the right person to join us at the beginning and help build the company’s reputation, client relationships, operating systems, and future.
This is not a temporary startup project, commission-only opportunity, work-from-home position, or untested business idea. Coulee Screen Co. has been intentionally developed to provide employers and individuals with professional drug and alcohol testing, background screening, compliance support, and workforce-screening services from a permanent local location.
The person selected for this position will be our first key employee and one of the first faces of the company.
This Is More Than a Front-Desk Position
The role will begin with drug-testing collections, client service, scheduling, documentation, employer communication, and daily facility operations.
However, we are not looking for someone who only wants to sit behind a desk and complete a repetitive checklist.
We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who is excited to help build something.
The right person will take pride in helping establish how Coulee Screen Co. operates, how clients are treated, how employers experience our services, and how the company is represented throughout the community.
Your ideas will matter. Your work will be visible. Your contribution will directly influence what this company becomes.
This Opportunity May Be Right for You If:
- You want to join a new company early and help shape its future
- You enjoy building systems, organizing processes, and improving operations
- You take ownership instead of waiting to be told every next step
- You are comfortable wearing several hats
- You enjoy working with both individuals and business clients
- You see problems and begin looking for solutions
- You want your ideas and effort to make a noticeable difference
- You are excited by opportunity, responsibility, and growth
- You prefer a small-business environment where your contribution matters
- You want the opportunity to grow into greater responsibility over time
- You have invested in yourself through college, healthcare training, professional certification, military service, business experience, or other meaningful education beyond high school
This position is ideal for someone who wants more than a routine job but also values the stability and professionalism of working from an established physical business location.
What You Will Do
Initial responsibilities will include:
- Open, organize, and help maintain the daily operations of the facility
- Greet clients and guide them through the testing process
- Perform urine drug-test collections in accordance with company procedures
- Conduct instant drug testing and accurately document results
- Complete electronic and paper chain-of-custody documentation
- Verify identification and testing authorization information
- Schedule appointments and assist walk-in clients
- Answer phone calls, emails, and employer inquiries
- Communicate professionally with employers, donors, laboratories, and testing partners
- Assist with DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing services
- Prepare specimens for laboratory shipment
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and organized records
- Process payments and provide receipts
- Monitor inventory and maintain testing supplies
- Keep the collection areas, restrooms, lobby, and office professional and clean
- Follow confidentiality, privacy, safety, and chain-of-custody requirements
- Assist with mobile, early-morning, evening, or after-hours collections as needed
- Support background checks, motor vehicle record searches, employment verifications, and other employer services
- Help develop procedures, checklists, workflows, and customer-service standards
- Help establish strong relationships with local employers and community partners
- Identify opportunities to improve the client experience
- Assist with company outreach, employer follow-up, and account support
- Take ownership of tasks that need to be completed during the company’s early development
Because this is a new company, responsibilities will evolve. The right person will see that as an exciting opportunity to grow rather than a limitation.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Dependable and consistently on time
- Professional, confident, and personable

- Respectful toward people from all backgrounds and circumstances
- Calm during uncomfortable, sensitive, or challenging situations
- Able to protect confidential and private information
- Willing to help outside of a narrowly defined job description
- Interested in helping build a company rather than simply filling a shift
- A genuinely good person who cares about clients, coworkers, and the company’s reputation
We are looking for someone who will care about Coulee Screen Co. as though they helped build it — because they will.
