Bricklayer / Mason

A modern-historic masonry restoration company.

DUTIES:

• Perform bricklaying and masonry work according to project specifications
• Construct and repair walls, chimneys, fireplaces, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and stones
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and scaffolding to transport materials and access work areas
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
• Use metal stud framing techniques for interior walls and partitions
• Renovate existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged bricks or stones
• Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity
• Perform trim carpentry tasks such as installing windowsills and door frames
• Lay tiles for floors, walls, or other surfaces as required
• Weld metal components for structural support or decorative purposes
• Restore historical buildings by preserving original brickwork and architectural features

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a brick mason or similar role in the construction industry
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction drawings
• Strong knowledge of bricklaying techniques, materials, and tools
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
• Skilled in metal stud framing for interior walls and partitions
• Familiarity with caulking techniques for weatherproofing purposes
• Experience in trim carpentry tasks such as installing windowsills and door frames
• Knowledge of tile laying techniques for various surfaces
• Ability to read schematics and follow instructions accurately
• Welding skills for metal components is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
