Base salary $145,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience and proven track record), plus performance-based bonus/commission tied to successful lead generation and secured work. Includes a comprehensive benefits package and participation in company profit-sharing/equity opportunities.

- Spearhead targeted business development efforts with key stakeholders in Southwest Florida, including developers, general contractors, municipalities, engineers, and private owners.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue high-potential project leads in retail/commercial site development, municipal infrastructure, and related civil markets.
- Build and strengthen strategic relationships to position Cougar Companies as the preferred partner for sitework and heavy civil projects.
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams on proposals, presentations, and winning strategies.
- Provide market intelligence on trends, competitors, and opportunities specific to the SWFL civil construction sector.
- Represent the company at industry events and maintain a strong local network.
- 7 years of proven business development or sales experience specifically in civil construction, site development, or heavy civil markets.
- Established network and relationships with developers, GCs, municipalities, and engineers in Southwest Florida (Lee/Collier Counties and surrounding areas) is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of local civil construction dynamics, including permitting, geotechnical challenges, and project delivery.
- Strong track record of generating and closing construction opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
