Cotwins Veterinary Care LLC., located in Canton, Ohio is seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, friendly person for a Veterinary assistant technician position. We are a full service veterinary facility located on Whipple Avenue that is committed to promoting client education and quality patient care
Candidate must have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, solid customer service background, an energetic self starter, and be able to multitask. The candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. The candidate must possess the necessary communication skills to deescalate, manage, and solve situations with complicated client conditions and expectations. The candidate will communicate directly with client information about the visit, medical procedures and medication information based on the veterinarians recommendations. The candidate will assist the veterinarian and other staff to ensure quality timely care of patients.
Some of daily duties include Providing general nursing care and Administering injections as directed by veterinarian Examining animals and checking vitals in preparation surgeryTaking X-rays of animals Administering first aid for wound care clip and cleans nail trims express anal sacs. Administering medication and treatments.
Drawing blood samples running abaxis and idexx machines
Completing SOAP notes
Daily charting for patients is required
They will assist in restraining pets, test set-up, laboratory sample preparation and communication. The individual must be a willing team player. The candidate will be expected to handle inventory orders and stocking as needed for the clinic. The offered position will be for part time to full time employment.
Sometimes scheduling appointments for patients in accordance with established procedures, answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, and receive/convey messages in writing verbally is needed as we train our staff in all areas.

Preferred Experience, Education, and/or Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent . Associates or assistant education preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Medical background (veterinary technician, or assistant with medical terminology training is required. Customer service experience required. The candidate must possess exceptional computer skills and be able to maintain electronic medical records, scheduling, and communication. The ability to copy, scan, and professionally transmit documents is required.
Ability and experience in veterinary technician or assisting is required.
PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND RVT
Actively enrolled in technician school is okay as long as abilities meet standards
