About the Role
As a Title Officer at Cottonwood Title, you can work on a diverse range of real estate transactions, from subdivisions to metes and bounds properties to commercial searches. One of the unique aspects of this role is that title officers are not required to type their searches, allowing them to focus on their expertise in real estate transactions. Our team of typists ensures accurate documentation, while our dedicated proofing team reviews commitments and ensures quality assurance. In addition to conducting thorough title searches, title officers play a vital role in collaborating with escrow officers and assistants to address inquiries and resolve title-related issues. Furthermore, as a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to mentor and train newer title officers and assistants, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough title searches.
- Collaborate with escrow officers and assistants to address inquiries and resolve title-related issues.
- Mentor and train newer title officers and assistants.
- Ensure accurate documentation with the help of the typists and proofing team.
Qualifications
- An active title officer license in Utah is essential for this role.
Required Skills
- Experienced in performing title searches, including M&B searches.
- Commercial experience is a plus, but not required.
- Licensed as a title officer in the State of Utah.
- Knowledge of Deed Plotter is helpful.
- Sharp communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and alone.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in commercial real estate will have an added advantage.
