As the Director of Nursing Services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality of care provided to our residents. You will lead and inspire a dedicated nursing team, ensuring that all nursing practices align with regulatory standards and best practices in patient care. Your expertise in assisted living, nursing home environments, and home health will be essential as you develop comprehensive care plans that prioritize the well-being of each resident. With your strong leadership skills, you will foster a collaborative atmosphere that empowers staff and enhances resident satisfaction.
What you’ll do
- Oversee nursing operations across various settings including assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice care.
- Develop and implement effective care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of residents.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, including Medicare guidelines and HIPAA standards.
- Manage nursing staff schedules, providing guidance on shift management and supervision.
- Conduct regular reviews of medical records and documentation to maintain high-quality standards.
- Lead training sessions on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology knowledge, and EMR/EHR systems for nursing staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
- Monitor performance metrics related to nurse management and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
Experience
- A valid nursing license with extensive experience in nursing administration and management.
- Proven track record in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or acute care settings.
- Strong understanding of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and documentation review processes.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising nursing staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for patient documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
