Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of frozen beverages and ice cream with precision and care, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
- Operate POS systems such as SQUARE to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cashing out customers, manage cash handling procedures, and perform basic math calculations for transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, adhering to food handling regulations.
- Manage retail sales transactions smoothly, balancing registers at shift end and reconciling cash drawers.
- Assist in beverage preparation tasks when needed, supporting overall operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista.
- Strong cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems like Toast.
- Excellent customer service abilities, with a friendly attitude and effective communication skills.
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling, and food industry standards.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Previous retail sales experience with an understanding of retail sales transactions in a fast-paced environment.
