Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Payroll Specialist will collaborate with clients and team members to ensure the accurate and timely completion of payroll processes and related procedures. You will also provide superior service to our external clients and internal stakeholders.

What will you do in this role?

• Process and review multiple client payrolls in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with established payroll processing calendars, and state and federal regulations
• Communicate with team and/or third-party processors to enable accurate, timely processing of payroll
• Administer retirement contribution, loan payment, and electronic funds transfer in compliance with the plan design and federal regulations
• Administer electronic deposits and cash funding reports for payroll. Ensure payroll reports are downloaded, and data is securely and confidentially maintained
• Enter payroll data into client's software for financial recording
• Process accurate and timely payroll tax returns and related compliance filings
• Provide administrative support by processing payroll-related expenses and reimbursements, responding to requests for verification of employment
• Stay abreast of payroll compliance issues and payroll system upgrades via continuing professional development
• Handle special projects and perform other duties as assigned

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
• 2 years of electronic payroll processing experience
• Proficiency with computerized accounting software
• Professional, organized, detail-oriented, and customer service oriented
• Strong Excel skills
• Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, virtual, and client facing environment while managing priorities effectively

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $65,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
