Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in locating products.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register.
- Process sales transactions efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stock areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to meet store sales goals and objectives.
Skills
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably within a grocery store environment.
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash register operation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- Familiarity with card systems and cash registers is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to convey product information clearly to customers.
