Cotton Cake Café is looking for a Barista with latte art experience to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista duties include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience making hot and cold beverages and working with special clients.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for customers.
- Making drinks according to customer preferences.
- Up-selling additional items such as hot items like panini, baguettes, or snacks.
- Taking orders with speed and accuracy.
- Serves drinks and hot items quickly and efficiently while keeping an eye on the clock.
- Prepares drinks properly by using the correct equipment.
- Keeps work area clean by using cleaning equipment or methods such as a vacuum or mop.
- Completes daily cleaning tasks according to company procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista.
- Basic math skills are required with knowledge of the drink menu being a plus.
- Ability to learn quickly and make informed decisions is a plus.
- Must be able to work independently with little guidance.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time while making orders quickly.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
