Senior Brokerage Claims Advocate – Transportation Division

As a Brokerage Claims Advocate, you’ll be the trusted liaison between our clients and their insurance carriers. Your mission is to ensure superior claims service by advocating for our clients, resolving issues, and guiding them through each step of the claims process. This role is essential to delivering the high-touch service that sets Cottingham & Butler apart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to client inquiries regarding new and ongoing claims.
- Research and resolve coverage questions and issues.
- Participate in onboarding calls with new clients to establish claims protocols.
- Prepare claim summaries and assist in presenting claim reviews to clients.
- Provide advocacy for complex and high level claims.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Responsibilites:
- Participate in training of new Advocates and experienced Advocates.
- Participate in presentations or training for other departments.
- Serve as a resource for colleagues.
- Participate in internal projects as assigned to evolve the capabilities and client service of Brokerage Claims.
What You Bring:
- Experience:
- 5 years in Insurance Claims or 3 years in Brokerage Claims Advocacy
- Prior experience in transportation, insurance, or claims is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of P&C insurance coverage and claims processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse personalities and manage sensitive situations.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and a natural problem solver.
- Education:
- P&C insurance related designation is preferred.
