Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Commercial Sheet Metal Installer with 5-10 years as a lead mechanic with hands on experience in blueprint reading, RTU curbs and duct installation, to oversee and execute sheet metal installation projects in commercial settings. This role requires strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor your team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in custom metal fabrication, management experience, blueprint reading, and sheet metal fabrication, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to lead teams and contribute to high-profile construction projects.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate the installation of commercial sheet metal systems, including HVAC ductwork, roofing components, and custom fabrications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation according to project specifications. With Arithmetic skills to convert measurements.
- Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all phases of installation.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, related to sheet metal work.
- Maintain communication with department manager regarding project status, and direct apprentices at job site.

- Have and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a commercial sheet metal installer or custom metal fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining safety standards on-site.
- Certifications related to sheet metal installation and safety practices.
- Licensed in MA/RI preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
