GENERAL SUMMARY

The Student Success Coach serves as the primary liaison between home, school and community services to provide educational, spiritual and social-emotional services to students identified as needing additional support.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

· Teach SEL curriculum (Top 20) to grades K-3.

· Help supervise student lunch, recess and mass/prayer service when available.

· Provide assistance with students who are chronically absent from school.

· Meet with students and families individually to determine academic and personal goals.

· Develop effective strategies to realize goals.

· Schedule and provide support for meetings with community resources.

· Conduct regular meetings to monitor progress with students and parents.

· Consult and collaborate with Cotter staff on the student’s progress.

· Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

· Performs all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Prior experience working with children preferred, but not required.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· BA in education or related field preferred.

• The ability to work with individuals and small groups of children while also supervising the larger classroom area

· Be able to lift children up to 50 pounds

· Kneeing, bending, stooping, standing for 75% of work day

· Work well with others with a team approach

REQUIRED WORK SCHEDULE

· This is a .5 FTE, non-exempt hourly position with a 10-month work schedule coinciding with the academic school year.

· Working hours are 7:15-11:15am, Monday-Friday.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

· Hourly wage of $18.50-$21.50 per hour commensurate with experience.
