We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Housekeeper Supervisor to join our team!
The Housekeeper Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping team, ensuring that all areas of the senior living community are kept clean and sanitized according to our standards. This position will involve supervising, training, and motivating housekeeping staff while also providing hands-on support in daily cleaning tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring cleanliness standards are met across the entire community.
- Train, schedule, and provide ongoing support and guidance to housekeeping staff.
- Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance.
- Oversee cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing areas such as restrooms, hallways, dining areas, and resident rooms.
- Ensure that all housekeeping supplies and equipment are stocked, maintained, and used properly.
- Assist with the development and enforcement of housekeeping policies, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Address and resolve any cleaning or maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning products and equipment, ordering as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Foster a positive and respectful work environment for staff, encouraging teamwork and high morale.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and family members, ensuring their satisfaction with housekeeping services.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and maintenance, to address any special cleaning needs or requests.
- Assist with special cleaning projects, such as post-discharge cleanings or seasonal deep cleaning.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in housekeeping, hospitality, or healthcare preferred.
- 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a similar role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Experience working in a senior living or healthcare environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation protocols, and safety standards.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to lift and move heavy cleaning equipment and supplies as needed.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Work schedule:
