Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation and cooking meet quality standards and safety regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
- Supervise kitchen staff through training, development, and performance management to build a cohesive and motivated team
- Implement and monitor food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling procedures
- Conduct shift management by scheduling staff, overseeing food production, and ensuring timely service during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurants
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising teams, staff training, interviewing potential employees, and managing shifts
- Deep understanding of inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures in hospitality settings
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality food production and customer service standards
- Experience in fine dining or casual dining environments with banquet or catering experience preferred
- Exceptional communication skills to foster teamwork and ensure clear instructions across all levels of staff
