Position Summary
This is an afternoon/evening, part time housekeeping position focused on floor cleaning, trash and event cleanup. The role of this part time Housekeeping position is to support the ministries of Cottage Hill Baptist Church by ensuring facilities remain clean, sanitary, organized, and ready for any and every occasion.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform day-to-day custodial/janitorial tasks such as cleaning bathrooms, hallways and offices, removing trash, and cleaning large common areas and auditoriums
- Perform specific tasks assigned by housekeeping supervisor to prepare the building for events
- Follow published monthly work schedule and ensure daily assigned work tasks are completed
- Be prepared to work occasional weekends and special events
- Perform other duties as directed by housekeeping supervisor
- Follow all general safety and organizationally specific safety protocols
General Qualifications/Skills
- Must be willing to submit to both a background check and drug test
- Must be able to work in a high traffic, busy environment
- Flexible, dedicated, dependable and self-motivated

- Able to function both independently and as part of a team in completing work assignments
- Able to work around children
- Able to operate cleaning equipment and tools
- Able to lift and move heavy objects (trash, tables, supplies)
Work Hours
- This part time housekeeping position works an afternoon/evening schedule 5-6 hours per day Monday – Friday and occasionally working on Saturday and/or Sunday.
- Individual work schedules are developed by the housekeeping supervisor based on considerations of the employee and the organization.
