Responsibilities

- Performs patient transporter duties transporting patients to assigned rooms or to areas of the hospital as required for treatment and procedures. Through the use of electronic Tele-Tracking program; responds immediately to requests in the time frame allowed by the situation. (65%)
- Cleans, washes, maintains wheelchairs, gurneys, and patient lifting equipment. Checks transporting equipment for proper mechanical working condition; if a problem is found, removes it from service and submits appropriate work order for repair. (10%)
- Transports a variety of items, blood, specimens, medical equipment, non-controlled medications, linen, walkers and commodes, dietary food trays, and other miscellaneous items to and from specified areas. (20%)
- Performs all operations required in our Tele-tracking Transport Interaction System. (5%)

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum:
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimum:
- Ability to utilize e-mail, cell phones, and pagers.

- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
