Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for providing chairside support to dentists during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Additionally, the Dental Assistant will be responsible for scheduling patients' next appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and prepared for treatments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays.
- Record patient information and update dental records.
- Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory and lab.
- Schedule patients' next appointments, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient experience.
- Manage supplies and inventory.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Dental Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using dental software and scheduling systems. Experience with Ascend preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
