As an IT Support Specialist at Coterra, you will be responsible for providing regional technical support related to hardware and software incidents and service requests through direct interaction with end users and personalized customer service. You will troubleshoot, resolve issues, and conduct preventative maintenance for a variety of complex oil and gas specific applications, communications hardware, network equipment, computers and other hardware. Through collaboration with remote team members, the IT Support Specialist will address end user IT related issues and support efficient operations at Coterra. This position reports to the Manager of IT support and will work on site at our Midland, Texas office. This is not a remote opportunity and relocation is not available for this role.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide technical support related to hardware and software incidents and service requests.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and related software programs.
- Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve incidents for a variety of complex applications and hardware equipment.
- Perform equipment installation and upgrades for existing and new hardware/software.
- Address end user desktop computer issues through direct customer interaction and personalized service.
- Provide on-site communications support to Control Room(s), Production facilities, Drilling and Completion Rigs.
- Network admin support, IP range management ,Wireless communications management
- Document actions and resolutions for all service requests using the ticket management system.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and repair experience in the following specific areas:
- Dell Precision and Latitude
- Complex oil and gas applications, including seismic processing (Kingdom SMT), mapping programs (Petra), and other engineering applications (Aries)
- Plotters, Printers, and Multi-Function Printers (Fax, Copy, E-mail, Print)
- Global Protect and VPN connections
- Wired/wireless network connectivity issues
- Windows operating systems
- Microsoft 365 Products
- TCP/IP and Desktop troubleshooting skills
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have clean driving record
- Ability to support end users, such as engineers, geophysicists and geologists, who are located both locally and remotely via phone, RDP, and face-to-face interactions.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of computer desktops, laptops, software, networking, and other IT systems.
- Ability to work and collaborate with team members across office locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work during off-hours as needed.
- Some travel required to PBU and MBU sites and field office locations.
- Knowledge of Active Directory Users and Computers in a Windows Server environment for creating user accounts and resetting passwords.
- Ability to troubleshoot mobile wireless devices such as iPhone and Android.
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM, Video Conferencing, and Soft-phone Telephone systems.
- High School or Equivalent, Bachelors degree in a computer related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar IT support role
- 25% Some regional travel will be required
