Grades: 1st- 8th The Thomas Page Academy Community supports the intellectual, physical and emotional development of our students. Demonstrates knowledge of the California State Standards in the assigned teaching area Differentiates instruction to meet the needs of students of varying abilities Maintains an organized program of instruction based on effective long range plans Exhibits evidence of effective lesson plans Utilizes a variety of appropriate materials and resources Communicates each lesson’s objective and its importance to students Utilizes appropriate and varied teaching techniques and learning activities Utilizes out-of-class assignments, when appropriate, to support instructional objectives Regularly assesses student performance and uses this data to plan instruction Maintains an effective system of monitoring student progress Maintains an effective classroom learning environment Follows school and school board policies and regulations Works cooperatively with the school and district staff
