Hydro-Vac Operator / Crew Supervisor
Location: Western PA - WV - OH
Pay Range: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time

About Us:
Costy's Energy Services, a leader in Hydro-Excavation services for the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking experienced Hydro-Vac Operators to lead and manage crews. This role requires hands-on operation of Hydro-Vac trucks, supervision of field crews, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and instruct crews in Hydro-Excavation, pit cleaning, tank cleaning, and other Oil & Gas-related cleaning services.
- Operate Hydro-Vac trucks to perform non-destructive excavation, fluid removal, and site cleaning tasks.
- Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols, company procedures, and regulatory guidelines (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
- Train and develop crew members, ensuring competency in equipment operation and job execution.
- Communicate effectively with clients, site supervisors, and internal teams to coordinate job requirements and expectations.
- Conduct pre- and post-job inspections of equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Maintain accurate records, including job logs, reports, and crew performance evaluations.
- Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment while maintaining high safety and operational standards.
- Be available for long shifts, overtime, and weekend work as needed.
Qualifications:
- CDL-B with Tanker Endorsement (Required)
- 1 years of commercial driving experience (Required)
- 1 years of Hydro-Vac or heavy equipment operation experience (Preferred)
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a field operations role (Preferred)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. No medical exemption. (Mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of Hydro-Excavation processes and oil & gas site operations
- Ability to train, coach, and manage crews while maintaining efficiency and safety
